Dont cof stack?
You can like put a cof into another cof to level it up, but you could also put something that drops off a level one mob to level it up too so it’s like retarded to do that.

Like youd get way more from just giving some newbie a cof than you would from like merging one cof into another cof

-The game is complex, but it's also easy. That means that folks do not have to "get good" in order to succeed. It always amazed me on P99 how people could reach level 50 or so on their toons and not know every in and out of their class. It's even more in Legends. I grouped with healers who didn't heal, pet classes that didn't have pets out, etc. To each their own, and everyone should be able to play the way they want - but it made a few group instances on level 4 difficulty frustrating, and actually more difficult than a solo instance at level 4 difficulty.
This is the main reason I dislike EQL. In classic EQ, the world is dangerous. You can obviously mitigate the danger on a more mature server by twinking your alts, but nothing beats the feeling of starting fresh in classic EQ. EQL's world feels more like classic WoW, which is fine. I like classic WoW. It just no longer feels like classic EQ to me.

but it's not classic eq... isn't that the point? A new game in a familiar setting?

I'm not sure what the devs intentions were, but the end result is a game that lacks risk.

-global chat channel is great and entertaining. cry more.
-it's everquest. no lifers on any game is nothing new and has nothing to do with me or my enjoyment.

other negative points have nothing to do with my enjoyment of the game or mechanics, just what other people do online. which is null and void.

horrible write up.
well said

I think it's fun. I think we can safely assume that was the intention.
