I have lots of clickies, my main is a warrior, I levelled a bard to 50 ish. 30 something shammy but
It's really hard and slow to level, but even if PL'ed I've done massive faction, tradeskill and plat farms to buy clickies, I can't start over it's too much work and I sadly don't have time to play enough anymore if I wanted to. They need to merge green and blue or do instanced raids.

I actually started on Green and it was okay. But after I had done most of the stuff you could do in classic... I wanted to see Kunark and Velious really bad though since both of those places were a huge part of nostalgia for me and I think they were years away at this point for Green players. So I started on Blue and of course I had to have a relatively high level character to actually be able to see these places, so I leveled one.
Explored around and had fun. Went back to Green briefly but realized that it felt way more crowded, most of the camps I grew accustom to accessing with ease were frequently camped around the clock with a huge line of players swarming the area waiting for their chance to snipe it etc. And I realized damn, there's none of this on Blue, so I just went back to Blue. Now keep in mind, Blue's population at this time was actually much higher than Greens currently is (yet people were larping that Blue was unplayable due to low pop). The main thing I noticed was most of the solo camps on blue were fairly easy to access, but there were still lots of players around in high traffic areas if you wanted to group, lots of nice players who seemingly just logged in to help other players level, if someone saw a camp and knew you wanted it, they would prob just give it to you rather than fight you over it. I learned how to do the Grobb guards because the guy camping it showed me around, logged onto his high level druid and buffed me, and then gave me the camp etc. I feel like that wouldn't have happened on Green. That being said, I doubt Green is STILL the same Green I left years ago, but at this point I would rather just wait for a merge and/or new server. And I gotta be honest, after playing MnM play test, it's really all I want to play for the foreseeable future. I canceled my WoW subscription even though I already bought the pre-order for Midnight and early access housing comes out in a couple of weeks. MnM is just that good. At least for a P99 junkie like me.

MnM will eventually kill P99.

The only other MMO I play is EVE, and there are currently 20,000 accounts logged in. How many are logged into WoW if you added up all the servers? Or something else, like the Final Fantasy MMO, Elder Scrolls, or every other MMO out there? And, like Wakanda said, the reasons people play here to begin with are different. People project the reasons they play p99 onto the other 1,200-ish people, and they are grossly overestimating the number of people looking for what MnM seems to be. I bounced off it almost instantly because it was exactly like EQ with a new paint job, but with increased time sink and difficulty that's like the exact opposite or what I'm looking for in a video game in 2025

I don't know, I've thought about it honestly. Blue at this point feels like a dead server; it's frankly depressing. Need a port? No dial on. Want to group? Maybe if you're lvl 50+ you can find one in KC, but even that's not a guarantee anymore. Looking to buy some gear? Good luck, EC is dead most of the time. Want to raid? Well, there's exactly one guild that clears all content 99% of the time outside of draft. I have 4 nearly 5 max level characters on Blue and there is literally nothing for me to do but farm plat or solo a lowbie alt. It's just depressing and not what I expected when I went hard to get there.

MMO’s were killed by an aging demo. I’m surprised anyone is trying to make a new one (even if it’s an EQ rip off) in 2025.
P99 is bottled nostalgia. MnM isn’t. IMHO, if you are looking for the “next EQ” just play a different game and occasionally run though Oasis on p99 for the warm feelings.
