I'm not religious, but I've noticed God fearing people generally have much more stable, prosperous lives. Every miserable person I know whose life is a total mess is an edgy atheist who hates their dad. I've even met many homeless drug addicts and not a single one has ever said "I ended up this way by listening to too much Victor Davis Hanson!!!"

When you don't believe in god it's not that you believe in nothing, it's that you'll believe in anything. I dunno who said that but it was some smart dude.
