Head of Skargus

I find it incredibly frustrating that the Head of Skargus from the Angry Goblin roll can be MQ'ed. Scout roll is made so you win the roll and get the item right on the spot. Why can't Head of Skargus be non-MQ'ed as well? It's frustrating enough getting a chance at the roll, let alone winning against 20+ people. The number of people competing for the roll never wanes because of this. If anything it gets bigger. Anyone else feel this way?

TBF it’s not classic to have a Regal Band of Balthezid. I remember when the item was added to the game how absurd it was because virtually everyone I know regularly raided Chardok and the notion of us not being KOS, let alone ally, wasn’t really a thing.

Not to mention… when did the revamp even happen? Like a week before Luclin launched? The item should be removed from the game and anyone caught wearing it should be banned for cheating / exploiting.

Also not just raided Chardok, but the pipeline for leveling, the actual literal meta, was Sarnak Fort in LOIO. Lots of high levels also camped the Sarnaks for the earrings etc. Ally to Sarnaks = super not classic.

Since it does exist, it would be nice to have a simple change in the way the quest is done. No MQ, and then we no longer have people with 100 alts and millions of plat gatekeeping.

Its part of a multi tiered quest so making it non-MQable would do literally 0. It would just mean people would do the MQ before or after that step. No different than what we see happening with Ring 8, people either sell ring 7 MQ and then you just have to show up for a roll (increasing the number of rollers, one of the concerns you are trying to prevent) or sell ring 8 completed as an MQ component to get a ring 9.

So eliminating Skargus MQ would just create an economy of ring 1/ring 2 MQs, add to the amount of rollers at Angry (anyone who buys an MQ now will be attending rolls with the proposed change).

Any change that has no impact to the supply or demand of an item is meaningless.
