It also alows the perosn to have "some sort of control" being able to chose to exit, i think thats the most driving force here.

A lack of control, and fear... at least if YOU chose to exit, YOU are gaining control of the situation.

I think the vulnerability is what gets me up there. And maybe what got her.
That's an illusiory sense of control. She obviously didn't choose to die. She had panic in her face / movements.

Control would have been having the ability to choose and ride it out. Or disconnect the boat tether only while riding the chute down normally. Surprised there wasn't a safety release. And she wasn't trained in it's use.

She was totally out of control. Of herself and the situation

Is is interesting I remember hearing about some case study of a woman who had some kind of issue that damaged her amygdala, might have been a TBI or even some deformity or something, I forget the deets. But basically the part of her brain responsible for the fear signal was damaged, and she was incapable of feeling it

So they studied her and in an attempt to confirm this did all these various tests and experiments to attempt to elicit a fear response. And only one of them worked

The only way she was capable of feeling fear was to be denied oxygen, to suffocate. I guess proving that suffocation is our most primal fear, independent of that part of the brain

I did a solo jump once that was fantastic. Very peaceful super gentle just floating around.

Also flew a sail plane a few times.

I agree parasailing is kinda idiotic tho.

Have you seriously never had a panic attack before? Wow.

See, everyone is blessed one way or another!

I don't think any of us can really understand what it's like to have rabies to the point that we wont allow ourselves to drink water out of panic.

And until we've felt that, we'd never be able to really "understand" that I think.

"JUST DRINK IT!" I think to myself rn.

When people have traumatic sudden death type injuries they go into complete shock after the injury. Many don't even know it.

I walked around for like 24hrs before feeling pain after a black out car flip over accident too. Woke up outside the car sitting on the side of the road with people telling me to stay down. I must have got out while still "unconscious" and walked over. Didn't want to go to the ER either but my Sergeant made me. Just broke my hand from the steering wheel. Was zero pain until the next day I couldn't even do a pushup from my arm and shoulder also being fucked up.

I have. Don't want to go into it though.

That's why I learned meditation and to gain awareness and presence. It works.

Sometimes it doesn't butt when it does it's awesome.

Let's just say never lock yourself in a room with me alone for an extended period. You'll regret it. Maybe not even in a physical way.

You can't know what it is / was like to be me. And I don't want you to know. Butt there are reasons and causes and purpose and all that behind who and what I am. And strip away the mask. Reach the core. Reach that elemental fundamental source.

And you won't need eyes to see where we are going. Imma leave it here.

Freedom and well being to all beings. Even the already dead ones.
