I think humans are funny.

If we don't have fake news, we can't have real news.

If we do something to protect real news, then we'd be sure (based on our own fake news assumptions) that protection would definitely be lying to us.

Ironic how like, we're incapable of believing the truth, so long as there is a chance the thing telling us the truth is capable of manipulation.

Like, you could have a flawless AI that would never lie, do all the news.

But we would never believe it, because we'd be positive that it was telling us the news it wants us to hear, and hiding the rest.

-- Now extrapolate that to entropy.

You can't have happiness without sadness.

You can't have good without bad.

You can't have rich without poor.

You can't have bravery, without fear.

You can't have energy, without entropy.

Just like every law in the universe, you can't have the good only.

The reaction to the printing press was exactly the same as the reaction to AI.

Funny. Maybe they both are invented by the devil!

Unfortunately I don't think there is any mr. sandman playing on repeat in that future..

Event Horizon wasn’t really all that corny, one of the scariest space movies ever made

I still remember when I was a teen my friend who was a tough guy type admitted that movie was the only one as a kid he never finished, he was too scared

I had that happen as a little kid too, but not with Event Horizon, I finished that. I did have to stop watching some Arachnophobia offshoot with tarantula-looking spiders killing everyone in this own or something. I barely remember because I was only like 7 or so at the time but I turned it off about 3/4 through and never finished

But after that I was never too scared to finish another movie, made it through event horizon and exorcist and all those. I actually like horror and the feeling of being afraid
