Odd death in Siren's Grotto

Earlier today I got my baby agnostic enchanter to SG (0 faction hit or kill in CS/ SG) .
Zoned in invis and stayed out of sight of the 3 Bulthars at entrance.
Benevolence landed from around the corner, and I was conning "Dubious" to them.

Cool, so I started walking towards the water w/o trouble.
I used my RoIG on a seahorse, and on the walrus servant by the water.
At that very moment, an entrance Bulthar attacked me and killed me

Still wondering why I got killed being Non KoS, I have no clue atm

You can only have Alliance/Benevolence/etc with one faction at a time. There are two factions in SG: the KOS bulthars + seahorses etc; and some Indifferent ones. When you used it on the Indifferent faction, you went back to being KOS to the KOS faction.

It affects every mob on the target's faction throughout the zone; until you zone or use Alliance on a different faction.

So for anyone else reading and learning, you should use it only once upon entering SG.

The walrus servant was the issue. They are not on the sirens of the grotto faction.
Only mobs in the zone you need to be careful you don't rod.

I did not know the rod or our faction altering line of spells only worked on a single faction at a time. Thanks a lot. now I get it. yeah, I should have left that walrus alone ...
