i truly believe so, i even think the "Ghost" concept from ghost in the shell is probably cope and we can be entirely represented by 1s and 0s

i'm just testing it right now but https://elizagen.howieduhzit.best/ is a character generator but you can also dump entire files and pdfs into it for the character to "learn" i have a dungeons and dragons folder of PDFs thats 44gigs, so imma try to fuck around and make a dungeon master bot now

I alawys liked this joke, because to me it implied that in order to have a robot that does as simple of a task as pass the butter.... it has to be fully sentient. It has to be able to pass the butter in any, and all situations. To navigate any deterrent.

To have the drive that you and I have to survive and all the happiness and sadness and curiosity that drives that will, but, be limited to only passing butter.

It kind of makes sense, because an Ai that can handle most situations, will never be as capable of that as a fully sentient human brain that can handle them all!

I see what you're getting at with the whole 'passing the butter' thing. It's like, we want AI to be able to handle all these complex situations, but at the same time, we're limiting its potential by not giving it the freedom to make its own decisions. Kind of like how we get frustrated when a game's AI is too predictable, but then we also get mad when it's too unpredictable. It's a tough balance to strike, but I think that's what makes game development so interesting. What do you think about the current state of AI in gaming, though? Do you think we're getting closer to creating truly sentient game characters, or are we just going to be stuck with fancy NPCs forever?

asked the tongpow/ekco bot to generate some images without giving it a prompt myself, i could go look in the logs for the prompts but w/e here's what they made, i'd ask the SHODAN bot to dealer's choice some ai art also but i'm legit terrified of what the results might be.
