my biggest issue with the place is they trained LLMs on it because it was a shit ton of text but then they had to torture the shit out of that model with reinforced learning / machine learning to get it to stop acting like a redditor

I used to go to reddit whenever I wanted to cut through the bullshit, I'd open up the comments.

A news video, a live video, some kind of news article.. whatever it was, you could open up the comments, and all the adults online would be like, "this or that is true or what not or this article is fake, or this bla bla" like.. you could actually get good information there.

But now, i open ujp the comments, and holy shit.. They are so wrong about literally everything, and it's all so obviously a 14 year old's take on daddy issues every time.

Like literally the most teenage takes on everything there now, nothing from a single person that sounds even remotely trustable.

You can hear the minecraft videos in the background of their comments. It's insane how fucking inept that site has become.

Im over here counting the days on my hand until I just can't block ads anymore... while Smart TV's are in the middle of putting advertisements on the TV so they pop up while I play old playstation 1 games.

One of the worst days of my life, I was hanging out with someone a little younger than me, just touching the generational gap.

And we were watching a youtube video. And an advertisment popped up... and I went "Oh weird you don't have adblock?"

And he goes, "I like to make sure that the creators I watch get money for their work."

And it hit me, this mother fucker was conditioned by fucking twitch streamers for him to get long dicked in the ass, not even get a reach around, and to think he's a fucking hero!

That day was the worst day of my life, and ever since then I have wished for nothing short of a species ending appocalypse.
