59 Warrior Returning to Blue - What to Do / Buy?
Hi all,
I stopped playing Rabkan on Blue 3-4 years ago. I’m coming back but have been tracking how Blue has changed. I would like to finish him - get to 60 and do some raiding. Right now he has got full SS armor, a CoCW, some decent droppables in other slots (needs +6 neck) and has an Infestation and Frostbringer for weapons. I read about the aggro patch nerfing Infestation’s aggro. I have 75k on him in cash. What do folks suggest I buy / do getting back in now with the economy where it is? I was thinking of getting a Wavecrasher and Fungi so I could solo out to 60 and start raiding? I have also honestly thought f it just buy a Blade of Carnage or SBoZ to DPS faster to hit 60. What is the best way for me to get him geared up with the resources I have? Keep in mind I have the clicky heal BP from SS, though that definitely drives more downtime than a fungi would. I’ve also tanked the spore king before - though getting into that group is hard to say the least. | ||

I see a lot of love for Herbalist Spade - seems like the group weapon of choice? Also for neck, Dragon tooth Choker. I had been saving for CoF but now it seems like that’s kind of a waste - may as well just find a good way to get better haste and hold off on upgrading CoCW.
He’s unguided now - the alliance I was in probably dead | ||

If I was to solo, where? My old way was always pugging in KC or Sebilis but that seems dead now

I have always loved my Truncheon of Doom. And i think i finished off my warriors grind to 60 in KC

That makes sense - I’ve considered one of the of those. Any idea on the slow % on the proc? That was part of why I was considering Wavecrasher

Procs Tepid Deeds. Level 24 enchanter slow. Looks like it's 32% slow? I've never owned a wavecrasher, but wiki shows it's procs breath of the sea which appears to be a 20% slow.

I'd hold off on any big purchases (though fungi and herbalists spade are pretty reasonable) and join a guild immediately. Once in you can chat people up, find alts to level with and probably even start raiding at 59, esp, if you're willing to get on a bot as the situation calls.
As for puggable dungeons, Velk's and to a lesser extent the hole (rats!) are other options. Another option is just cold calling 52+ shamans asking to duo. | ||

So it is still possible to pug nowadays on blue? I think I have the hole key. I did Velks a bit but mostly in premade. Pugging was my go to. and I’ve been worried it was just a no go now that green has been out for so long.
I’m super down to play alts for raids / whatever. The point of EverQuest is to go on adventures, so I’m happy to do that on another char. i saw Kittens is semi serious raiding now? I did a little bit of last string HoT tanking for a while. Will try to finish building this PC tonight and get set up. Sounds like a plan on Spade and Fungi. | ||

Cobalt BP’s are like 8k. Reaver about 6k. ToD somewhere between that probably.
Effect Decrease Attack Speed by 32% (L24) to 50% (L60) I’d find a buddy or two and go kill Geo’s in WL. Kittens Friends on Discord is the App. | ||
