I will point out that the effects of coffee and coca leaves are both more like cocaine than are those of weed. Weed, coca, cocaine are all "drugs" here. Coffee isn't. What's up with that?

When I was talking about drugs above, I was referring to illegal substances (hence the use of " "). For those purposes neither alcohol nor coffee is a "drug", yet coca leaves / weed / cocaine are.

i agree with you completely. That's why i wrote "drugs". Substances are so demonized in this country, the "drugs are bad" message we get as kids and through the media, etc, is fucking retarded, because drugs include: coffee, medicine, steroids, .... ? etc.

meh i just don't think this is true. you only know "potheads" if you think that way. I can smoke a joint and chillout for a night, just like I can drink a few beers one night. Neither of these actions means I'm going to be drinking and/or smoking all the time. Neither impairs me significantly more than the other.

I'd like to hear your argument for why alcohol should be legal and weed illegal-
