Yeah Bankruptcy is tough; i've had to do it - twice - Ch 7 around 1998 and Ch 13 in 2010 after the 2008 AIG/lehman Bros financial crisis & subsequent housing crash, losing a job, and almost losing said home. .

Yep, right after the housing crash. Economy and the job turned tits up, had recently purchased an 06 Subaru WRX STI ($35k), I thought I was finally able to live the American dream.

You're right, health >>> money. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), good healthcare isn't free (because nothing truly good is ever "free") - it certainly wasn't for my 2x reconstructed feet/ankles this year (right - Jan 31, left - April 30) - I'm finally wearing 2 shoes and have started working out again. Painfully, but such is life.

If I had to rely on "free" healthcare, i would have ended up with 2x triple arthrodesis and no chance at running/jumping again.
