Duffs were legit.. Like a combination of vans/emericas/and etnies.. I remember owning 1 pair, that were a size too big for my feet, cause i HAD to have them, and it was the closest size they had to my foot size..
Dude, did your town or city ever experience that skate fad, where you would cutt the tongues out of a previous skate shoe, and slip them into your own skate shoe, so that you could puff them out and make them look all loose and cool?

Skating was big with all the middle/highschool kids where I lived, started between 6-7th grade. Several skate shops for a southern town/city, Blazer and New Generations is were I went. Love the skateshop vibe, similar to dirt bike shops.
It was mostly church's here that would let skaters use their parking lots when they were not holding service. Big flat area and we kept ramps and grinds at each, over to the side.
*I currently work in the downtown area (small place), I see more young ladies with a skateboard then I do any boys. You don't see any on the streets, church or anywhere else. I guess they are too busy looking up smart phone porn these days.
