Meanwhile, what is the consensus again? Sweden and the UK have both completely done away with all mandates and covid restrictions. Ditto for Denmark now. They have also outlawed the current covid vaccines for people under 18 citing a lack of evidence that the benefit outweighs the risk. Meanwhile Australia is basically nazi germany with regard to covid. The US is somewhere in between.

Good news guys! The vaccines have now been approved for kids as young as 2! What does that mean? I dunno, but they are approved! So I guess that means they're sure they won't have any long term side effects! For a disease that already poses absolutely no risk to small children at all. Literally getting a cold is more dangerous to a baby than covid based on all current data.

Reading that anti-vaxxer site has really made me wish I could convince my family who are actually at risk due to their age like my dad to get the vaxx. I’ve skimmed a lot of deaths from men who seem to be in similar shape from him and roughly the same age. There is definitely a lack of young healthy people deaths posted

One thing I did notice is a few people who wanted to act tough did say they would rather die in home than go to a hospital, something I said on this forum before. The risk\benefit analysis is definitely a totally different question for the elderly. I mean, the median age of a covid death is *older* than the average life expectancy. It overwhelmingly kills the elderly, both because of advanced age but also because the longer you've been alive the more likely you are to have comorbidities. My parents are both vaxxed and I'm glad they are. But when I see my nephew wearing a mask and I start to forget what he actually looks like, all so that he doesn't get the sniffles, I do start to wonder what the hell we're doing and what we actually value.
