My parents died before I was born.

My parents divorced when I was 7, then both went on to make meth. Then they both went to prison, my brother and I went in and out of foster care and group homes. Then we were reunited with our mom when she got out on parole. But, alas, she didn't learn her lesson. Four days after our DCFS case was closed our house got raided again, my brother and I held the door closed while the cops tried to pry it open, so we were arrested for obstruction of justice. I was 14 then. Eventually the charges against us were dropped, but mom was back in the joint and we were back in foster care. Mom gets out again. She regains custody of us. She then burns our home to the ground in a meth fire. At this point, I'm 15 and the cops and DCFS say we are too old for foster care, so my brother and I are on our own, no home, no money, only the clothes on our backs. I got a job roofing for a slumlord who told us if we fell off a roof "we're fired before we hit the ground". I have been struggling to survive my whole life. Both my parents are out of prison now, and they learned their lesson. They are good people who made mistakes, and I love my parents. It's easier to see that they are humans now that I'm an adult. I know this is RnF, but hey, I don't get many chances to tell my story without fear. Hope you enjoyed my tale...

I have seen you make negative comments on me being a Marine several times now. At least this shares some light on your hate of the military. However, your fathers actions do not reflect the rest of the people in the military. If you are being truthful about him, and what he did then that is pretty shitty bro.

First of all, to anyone who has half a brain, i.e., not you, it should be blatantly obvious that my post was a satirical dig a Harrison's jingoistic, pathetically adolescent need to be considered "a real soldier," or a "tough guy." Obviously, it hit a nerve with you, too, which makes sense, given your similar needs of validation.

Secondly, I don't hate the military, or Marines in general. I hate hypocritical, sociopathic pieces of shit who criticize people who use social services such as welfare, SSI, etc., while being completely on the government tit themselves, like you did in a recent thread. I know you believe you "deserve" to have the government be your surrogate mother, due to "protecting" the rest of us, or some other bullshit. Let me let you in on something: you're not protecting me from shit. I didn't ask you to. No one did. Nobody owes you shit. You volunteered to make yourself feel like a tough guy, or to take advantage of socialist "gubment" money to go to college, not out of sense of altruism, or care for the American people. So stop with the martyr routine. I ain't fuckin' buying it, and no one with any sense will either. Go fuck yourself.
