implication was that the person paying is.

yes its fine to spend money on a hobby, but spending RL cash to buy something that suppose to obtained via process of PLAYING, eliminates entire purpose of actualy playing.

Its equalent to - you playing a game of monopoly with your friends, and you say - "ok guys, i will give each of you $5, and you declare me a winner..."
Yeah you can do that - but then there is no point of playing what so ever.

You may very well just look at your EQ CD disk and announce to yourself- "I came, I saw, I conquered" and put it back into a box. You have won.

Just for anyone who thinks they're slick trying to mask IP (use a different computer remotely otherwise) GMs can see juuuust a lil more than your character's name on a /who... you'll get caught. When the plat farmer gets caught a pretty quick'n' easy control+F thru logs ensues. All of the plat they have goes with them, farmed by grinding or trading, all of it, gone.

It's more than spending money on your hobby, it's encouraging people who don't sleep/Chinese prisoners to completely over inflate the economy.

If i recall right....SWG had a mass credit wipe after a dupe was found.

Leading to rageforce players after their entire fortunes wiped through transactions having touched the dupe money.

Para under response is the gist.

Yeah it did, I briefly met the acquaintance of a guy who made money off of said exploit. Came out to about 45k a year. Not exactly "boats and hoes, boats and hoes" but given how hard his "work day" was... worth it.

Pixels are the root of all evil, money is just a means to an end.

Since there's no subscription fee to play P99, the value of plat to a potential buyer is how much he is willing to pay to not farm it himself. As EQ becomes more enjoyable, this value goes down. Therefore, plat sellers are measuring how unfun EQ is.

i think the next time I invest my time into an MMO, i'll likely invest some $ too and take the low/easy road.

at the end of the day, fuck it. it's your time, your money to do with what you want.

Not when your arrogance and self entitlement infringe on a companies business model that affects the rest of the consumers.
