In a normal world, the headlines would read like this:
"The UK has the highest deaths per capita, don't do what they did!"
"Don't emulate Spain!"
"Italy is suffering, don't let it happen here!"
"The Belgian covid disaster, what happened and how we can make sure it doesn't repeat in the US!"
That's in an ideal normal world, where media organizations don't do the bidding of their political masters.
That's because in the normal world, the facts look like this:

My point, just to be explicit, is that information is being manipulated to serve political ends to such a degree that we're approaching Goebbels, which is the second rung right underneath Stalin.
Please note that New York and New Jersey have over THREE TIMES the per capita rate that Sweden has and all three places took the greatest hit in the same place; the aged in the nursing homes.

How about those headlines? I mean beyond helpful and also totally accurate. I need a link though cause these exist only in my head atm.
In the interest of not being misinterpreted further I'm not denying covid is a threat, not suggesting simple quarantine measures are ineffective, not suggesting anything to do with the efficacy of any countermeasures.
My point is that like any crisis, this one has been co-opted by people with an agenda. Unfortunately these people control vast swaths of the media, which is why people are given giant loads of bullshit in order to make them compliant and scared in order to achieve a very visible political end, which is the election of a Democrat regime in November.

I think this is just a case of the world expecting better from Sweden, a popular example among the blue-pilled college campus left of a well run country that does everything right. In reality they do most things right but have diminished their country by letting in a generation of low-skill economic migrants and allowing them to form parallel societies. I have a clinical doctorate and I couldn't emigrate to Sweden if I wanted to without learning the language.
Italy and Spain, and even Sweden, would actually be passable countries to emulate, that's how bad things have become in the US. Their infections/deaths are pretty much under control and things are returning to normal.
