Why are Dark Reavers so rare?

I been thinking about an SK. Why am I making all these melees

Dark reaver is about as good as it gets unless you go way higher end. I got overall 2nd Dark Reaver (missed 1st by hours!), but it seems to me that quite a few have dropped since. Every SK main (lvl 30+ at least...) that I know (on Teal) has a Dark Reaver now... I would guess M2H and Skarlon are entering the market faster than serious SKs are being created/leveled, and that the Dark Reavers being replaced are trickling down and/or being sold.

M2H is approximately the same Skarlon +FBSS, although you will bash a little faster with the M2H. Those are about tied... but Skarlon + dragon haste (or at the very top end, 41% once Sky hits) are the best available.

every sk above level 20 on teal has one as far as ive seen, not rare at all

I know that most sk players mid level or higher have one, I’m mainly just referring to the rarity of seeing these for sale. Not a one on the forums for sale, never see them in ec tunnel, and a grand total of two entries on the green auction tracked.

The ratio is only slightly better than a Gigantic Zweihander, but they're both not exactly common.

Can attest to Zweihander not being common. Been looking for Karg all week. Killed him 4 times, 4 cloaks so far. My ranjah needs to upgrade his BBC already!

Literally impossible to find these things for sale. There are only two entries on the auction tracker as well.

Its weird I never had such a problem on blue. I made the characters I wanted and it all worked good. Now in balancing stuff I didnt make on blue but might want lol

I invested in a pile of forged 2h swords on day 2, then got SBH pretty quickly. SBH very cheap, I think I paid 30pp and AFAIK that’s still a reasonable price.

FYI, in terms of absolute benefits, DE and troll are both terrible. DE stats are garbage, only benefit is Ring of the Dead you can use forever with 10g recharge. Troll has regen, but meditate+lifetap is radically more hp and dwarfs regen, although in that rare situation where you’re stranded, FD and low hp, it’ll help get you stable sooner.
