The current nerfs are in place due to the increased spawn time, not because they weren't giving out classic exp. It's temporary
I remember this now and feel kinda dumb.. HOWEVER I can't find the staff post regarding this. And it's not in the green trailer thread. I can only find the staff mentioning the 80% faster spawn rate. (I did search the forums)

Kind of a stupid mistake by the staff to not be upfront about this. People can barely find the latest patch (even when it's on the homepage) what made the staff think people wouldn't notice an exp nerf to noobie zone related quests.

But, the newbie zones aren't going to clear out for at least a month, so forget about the newbie quests for now.
Oh totally agree. It's kind of annoying a times (I feel like level 7 can be a real slog, for example, and it would be nice to have some bone chip turn ins to give a little boost), but it is what it is. At the end of the day, your overall EXP per hour is probably not extremely worse than it would be if you had the bone chip quest because with the ~6 minute respawn time you'd be sitting on a skeleton spawn forever. With the faster respawn time you get more kills, so it offsets the loss of the quest turn in EXP a bit.

It's a hobby project, so I give em a lot of slack, but making some info more available would probably lessens some griping/confusion. (some people are gripe pros)

The density of players at the launch was nuts. I camped two hidden decaying skeleton spawns in a ditch. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] This have tapered off a bit as people leveled out. I think they got it about right.

Can you please provide proof

I'm not saying you're wrong or right.
But curious how you know how much exp they gave is classic and how much exp they give on p99.
There is tons of in era posts about exp rates on these quests.

Womp womp. Baler I wouldn't have posted this question if I wasn't absolutely sure. It's not like it was giving just a tiny bit less exp, it wasn't even moving the bar, on a quest which I used countless times to help new players get started, friends rolling alts, etc.

Just like CB belts. People remember they gave good exp on turn-in. Many people started a lot of chars with CB belts. Dropping their exp gain down to 10% of what they would normally have been is going to immediately raise red flags with hundreds of people.

You don't forget that kind of stuff.

Some appear to be nerfed while others appear to be identical to blue. Not sure if bug or intentional as theres no official word on it. Try to figure out which are good [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

...This explains nothing, but from every post you're in I've gathered that your defining character trait is "Asshole +25" points at char creation plus a racial bonus to being on the spectrum.

Is it possible that the exp give on the timeline is different? Do we know they started out as good exp? At first I gave Baler the benefit of the doubt that he actually knew something, but I realized he can be ignored. It's like some people never stopped being 17...
