I think it should be all set, the only thing I couldn't figure out was how to add "Brood of Di'Zok" to the alphabetical list at the very bottom of the page.

Awesome job [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

To add "Brood of Di'Zok" at the bottom you actually don't edit the category page, you edit the "Brood of Di'Zok" page. Add the following to the bottom of it:

Code:
[[Category:Significant Factions]]
And just as a side note for any interested readers, this is how all wiki categories work. You just add:

Code:
[[Category:*Category Name*]]
to the bottom of any page that you want to add to a category.

EDIT: I gave Chardok it's own parent header since it (arguably) wasn't a city, and threw in a sentence about how it's KOS by default but raisable. Collaboration! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Good afternoon Bee!

I'll recommend grinding faction The Heretics by killing Kobolds in the Warrens. This not only gets you a key to the Hole, but the ability to bank in Paineel. For your druid, this isn't a big deal, but for Dark Elves, Ogres, Trolls, and especially Iksars it provides the easiest to reach banking location. I argue it's easier to bank there than Thurgadin.

Outside of that, if you want to get creative with factions for fun, I recommend the Gorge of King Xorbb! Kill everything in there and eventually you'll be non KOS in Runnyeye. There are banker and merchant goblins in the zone, but more importantly, there is a defunct quest from Lord Pickclaw. You can hail him and hear his historical recount of Runnyeye, but I still try to get more information out of him. I wonder why the devs gave him dialgoue to say to friendly players.

Another fun faction grind is killing Mistmoore monsters to get Ring of Scale faction. It's enjoyable to port into the Dreadlands with high Ring of Scale faction and be able to /pat Gorenaire without death.

For the most rewarding factions grinds, level and Iksar, troll, or ogre off of the following monster groups.

Blackburrow Gnolls
Splitpaw Gnolls
Warrens Kobolds
Runnyeye goblins
Gorge of King Xorb Monsters
Gnolls and Orcs in High Pass
Mistmoore Monsters
Dark Elf Wine Quest
Undead Frogloks
Kunark Pirates and Goblins
Kunark Frogloks

Each of these monster groups will offer only positive faction for good, neutral, and evil cities/people on Norrath. A good example would be avoiding any involvement with Crushbone orcs, as killing them will help you become loved in Gfay, but they have that one negative faction hit to the Indigo Brotherhood, Dark Elf warriors/City Guards.

If you have the determination to do this here are the potential rewards.

1. Killing the Runnyeye goblins will eventually get you in good standing with the Halfling druids, Hafling Guards, Dwarf Guards. That means you can be ported to Misty Thicket and not be attacked! Whoa! How amazing is that?! And without fear of the guards backstabbing you, now you can visit your halfling friends at the entrance of Rivervale. I don't suggest going further than that without invis.

2. Killing the Blackburrow/Splitpaw Gnolls will make you friendly with the Qeynos and Karana guards and people. You will not be fully non KOS in Qeynos, but again, nice to be able to port into North Karana and not get attacked. Maybe even do some vendor trash selling.

Tired yet? If you still have the stomach, should you decide to kill Warrens Kobolds, then you'll not just become friendly with the Heretics, but also, Erudin Guards. By being non KOS with Erudite guards, Dwarf Guards, Qeynos Guards, and FP guards (from killing Deathfist orcs), you will essentially travel on the boats from Odus to Faydwer without fear of a lynch mob awaiting your arrival.

3. Murder High Pass Gnolls and Orcs. Kill enough and now you're rubbing shoulders with the elites of High Hold Keep! More banking and vendoring!

4. Killing Mistmoore monsters will allow you to gain some Ring of Scale and Bard faction. Ring of Scale just allows you to hang with Gorenaire while you watch people avoid her. It's fun but nothing crazy. The Bard faction though, further allows you to secure safety in Freeport and Qeynos. Should you're invisibility start to drop while in those cities, you can at least duck into the bard guilds and sigh in relief.

5. And for hardcore mode, killing Kunark goblins by FV and Warsliks can raise faction with the FV people. The pirates also offer some positive faction in FV that the goblins do not. All in all, this method is tedious, and the payout is little. You'll be able to bank in FV and vendor, if I'm right.

6. Kill as many Kunark Frogloks as possible. Should you hit the magic number, the Legion of Cabilis will allow you walk among them. Be wary though, not every Iksar guard is on that faction. The Shadowknights and Shamans will still try to kill you unless you do the bone chip quest, en masse.

And that's all the crazy faction facts I know of. In the grand scheme, I don't think the developers did enough with the system. Why allow players to receive positive faction with monsters such as the Xorb or Runneyeye NPCs, if it amounts to nothing?

Just a small note here, there's also one dragon in Western Wastes that is on Ring of Scale faction. It's a nasty surprise if you've made sure your CoV faction is good, only to stumble on a dragon who is still very pissed off at you.

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

Everyone's favorite excuse for being late to to a ToV Raid: Esorpa of the Ring [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Between her and Gore I think Ring of Scale deserved to be added to the "Significant" list.

Just a note, Crushbone only tanks your Dark elf warrior guild faction, not the guards (Dreadguard Inner and Outer). Neriak warrior's guild is tucked away in a corner, so you can Exp in Crushbone (or use it to faction with goodly races) and not worry much about inkie hate.
