Having twinked a ranger, a monk, a warrior, and now an SK, I'm having the most fun on the SK.

Monk is dope, but there's a bazillion iksar monks on p99. You're not REALLY in demand unless you've got 1mpp in monk gear for fancypants pulling, like orb, bracer, holgresh beads, etc. but it's still fun to play and melt stuff doing dungeon crawls with a shaman - a monk's best friend. I lack the monk skills to be considered a 'good' monk without all the toys, so I dropped him just before epic.

I got my epic on Ranger, which was coo, but Ranger gets a bit frustrating in any dungeon that matters because the 'versatility' of a Ranger is really lost indoors. They are super fun, pretty good dps, and not really overabundant (like the monk). Tracking is cool, esp for earning casual DKP or farming certain mobs. If you can get BFG and Haste cloak from Sky, ranger would be SUPER fun, but that's a time sink if you've got a bunch of alts (like me). I also like seeing dank Critical Hits, which happens often 50+ on ranger.

Warrior - super fun, super reliant on groups, super reliant on tons of gear and time. A badass warrior, as many will tell you, is, like, the ultimate badass. Aside from Detoxx, a monk (?), who hit 7k hp apparently.

SK - The split-pulling abilities are there, indoors and out, albeit not as efficient as Monk or Ranger. The tanking abilities are there, obv not as efficient as end-game raider Warriors, but again, that's not my daily play. I also don't feel like I NEED TOYS, really, like I do on ranger and monk and warrior. Snap aggro, there. Snare, there. FD, there. Pet for fun, there. Big hits with 2h weapons, there. Solid ratio 1h weapons, there (but no DW). Sword-and-board looks, there. Plate class baddassery, there. Fairly simple (though kinda shit) epic, there. Competition for knight-specific raid loot, not as gnarly as monk or caster loot.

Plus, you're a dark knight.

Mage with a Thurgadin robe (~25k-30k)
Clicky 24-25 PT DS from lvl 1 is every bit as powerful as a Fungi. Ideally you find a duo/trio as your pet will eat half exp when solo. There isn't much else to buy a mage that matters. Perhaps jboots (5k), burnt wood staff (5k) with the rest or just value INT gear

Or you can twink an ench, cleric and rogue fairly well for 40k and always have a toon any group guild or raid would love to have.

I put the Thurg robe legs on a lvl 5ish mage...it was probably the most OP and yet boring thing I have ever done on P99.

The question is why would OP make a SK if he got necro ????? , it like being a real class by casting spells in sebilis that necro's cast in kurn' tower... only reason would suggest SK is if i had SK gear to sell him

I would roll a warrior / Rogue / Monk at this point

Oh man here we go. The whole "EQ only needs warriors/clerics/monks/rogues, anything else is a waste of time" talk..

Don't do that dude... Don't start this please.....

Why? Let's see.

SKs can wear plate
More in demand in groups
Velious is geared towards melee if you decide to raid so way cooler upgrades
Sks getting on war dmg table soon
2h bonus coming soon
Greenmist if ya want an easier epic
Can pull/offtank on raids vs twitch
Death peace which necros don't get
Access to Ogre/Troll
Rare factor unlike the million necros out there

Plenty of reasons
