We used to have Matchplay/Neutral Ground, which was where the top guild on Bristlebane (Club Fu) played ... but sadly it closed down awhile ago, and has now been replaced by Game Kastle (a regular/non-electronic game store).

But there are definitely still some cyber cafes out there; Sunnyvale has a couple, for instance. And I'm sure there's a ton of P99 players in the Bay Area, probably even enough to do separate meetups in SF, Oakland, and San Jose.

Don't get me wrong, I lol'd at your post at first because the social part of me agreed with you. But then I remembered taking a class with someone last year who knew about p99 and has played it, we talked about it for a few hours. Literally was the first time I've spoken to someone in person about this game in 17 years. Was cool comin outta the EQ closet for once.
