Default wizard gear quests...

as my lvl's go up i am having a harder and harder time lvling due to the fact i am pretty much naked(i died and lost my body)...

i checked alakazam but i am having a hard time finding quests i can do becuase i dont know which era they are from...

Does anyone know were i can find a list of some low lvl wizard quests? Or would it be easier to just tough it out and continue my plat grind and buy some newbie gear?

Just keep grinding out xp and saving up every little bit of cash.

The better your group, the less your maximum mana/health will matter as a Wizard.

Wizard quests are basically Staff of the Wheel, Staff of Temporate Flux and Acumen Mask. You'll probably have to wait until your 20's to get them.

At your level, load up on cloth or tailored silk, and buy the items you need to fill slots and increase INT/Mana.

Tishan's Kilt is also questable, and better than silversilk or black chitin leggings.

Gear at lower lvls is overrated.

I see so many people wasting time trying to get tweaked out on weak gear. Instead of spending time lvling to get Planer level 46, the real gear, and raid stuff. Spend your time in zones where ya know a INT item drops. That way ya get 2 birds one stone....

Getting Fear gear for a wizard is a huge pain in the ass, it's nothing like getting geared as an enchanter or mage.

There are very few Frightfingers in fear (maybe 5?) and you are lucky to get maybe 1 wizard item per raid. Now multiply that by how many wizards are still looking for items from that zone and... well you get the idea. (At least wizards can use cryosilk which in most cases is a valid substitute for carmine.)

Now compare:

Carmine Pants
Slot: LEGS
AC: 5
STR: +3 STA: +3 HP: +15
SV COLD: +10
WT: 0.7 Size: MEDIUM

Tishan's Kilt
Slot: LEGS
AC: 5
STR: +4 STA: +4 HP: +20
WT: 0.8 Size: SMALL

Unless you are on a Vox raid, Tishan's kilt is a better item. More strength stamina and hitpoints, and it fits in to a small bag.

Also, some people enjoy doing quests.

So while some quests really aren't worth doing anymore with Kunark out, it's not always the case. And planar wizard gear is a pain to farm unless you are willing to settle for Cryosilk.
