Miscellaneous: Spider Silk drop rate on Heart Spiders

I would consider this a pretty minor thing, but I do remember the drop rate on spider silks being considerably (roughly an order of magnitude) more significant on the heart spiders in Upper Guk. This was the place I came and farmed them on my monk back in the day. I've been here the past few days for exp on my shaman and have gotten maybe 5 silks in dozens and dozens of kills. Tons of gemstones though, but no silk.

This has several comments where people discuss farming them for silk as well. No biggie, but something I noted as 'off'.

I have not had the opportunity to kill any heart spiders in Guk yet but I agree with the farming of silks here as this is what I did as well. In about 3 or 4 hours I could easily make 4 stacks of silk swatches here back before PoP. Notice I said swatches and not just silks.
So far my attemps at finding spider silks at all has not been very good since most spiders do not seem to drop a great many, if any at all. I've had the best success from large spiders in East Commons than anything else, and those are few and far between.

Fixed. The heart spiders in guk will not drop silks inline with other large spiders of Norrath.
