Starting zone trouble...HELP!

I just downloaded and followed the steps to start playing EQ.

I leave Nektulos and zone into Nektulos forest to find everything is falling and total green screen. I can hear the zone sounds and music but I can't see anything. The city zones are fine but obviously something went wrong with Nektulos Forest.

Should I have allowed it to patch? Where did I go wrong?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

DO NOT PATCH EVERQUEST. If you patch your Titanium install you will need to delete it and start over.

Once you have completed installation you will need to extract the Project 1999 required game file changes. The current distribution is Project 1999 Files (V45).
These files must overwrite any existing files encountered during extraction into your Titanium directory.

Once that is completed, the following files must be DELETED or MOVED OUT OF the Titanium directory:

arena.eqg
arena_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
lavastorm.eqg
nektulos.eqg
Nektulos_EnvironmentEmitters.txt

Failure to delete these files will result in problems accessing certain zones.
