With the dmg cap nerfs, is the Icewurm fang far better than any droppable 2hander?

The icewurm fang is going to get you gearing towards having a 1 handed spear and a shield (which is what is going to be with the epic). So in my mind, its better

For raw damage it's as simple as comparing ratio to ratio.

Benefit of the 1hander is you can carry a shield for the mitigation perks.

Thing is, 2h damage for priests was gimped right? Wasn't the cap damage lowered or something of the sorts in a recent past patch?

That would make the 1h weapon possibly more efficient along with all the other perks you get when using a shield with it.

REIF is the best sustained dps for melee shaman.
And as mentioned above the shield helps with stats+AC.

I sold mine though because at level 60 with torp, epic and all spells. You don't melee actively as a shm. But for the time I had it, it was a lot of fun. Especially considering shm is a priest class.
It's 7-8k price tag may or may not be worth it. I've seen two, in person, drop inside kael. Definately a rare-ultra rare droprate. Never had one drop in my time farming the wurm in GD.

What i did to get mine was check the oracles in kael every morning in the platehouse. you just need to get a low level in there with faction. warrior/shaman of rallos zek works. just check the oracles and see if they are holding it. then get yourself a crew and head in there [You must be logged in to view images.
