There's a difference between playing it differently and skipping huge portions

It really is. People are grossly misinterpreting the meaning of "Ever Quest?"

So would you say "skipping" portions is different from how you play?

I would imply that they are currently not playing Everquest at all.

Love how salty certain people in this thread are because untwinked new players can grab XP at a rate faster than they'd like. I'm sure most of these people toss Fungi / haste items on their lowbie melee without thinking its "ruining the spirit of the game".

It's basically just envy, they wasted hundreds of hours leveling their original toons in bronze and don't want "newbies" to progress faster than they feel comfortable.

They're definitely role-playing as bread delivery persons. It looks like some people are upset that the players have found a way to maximize their efficiency and profit, though. It's kind of like the UPS minimizing left turns across traffic in real-life. The people complaining here definitely seem to be the type that would complain about UPS taking fewer left-hand turns.

Would it be against the rules if a villainous enchanter charmed one of the more dangerous monsters in the zone and parked it next to these quest non-playing characters, assuming this tactic could be accomplished?

In the grand scheme, I am a relative newbie overall and do not know all the ins and outs of the game. I just play it "as is" for fun.
