Dmg is capped by base dmg not the result of the dmg formula. Not sure why you guys keep saying the devs are wrong but I get it the dmg caps previously in place were there for a long time.

those are thedg value caps... so you put it into the dmg calc that then uses str as well... so that's why a 1-10 war will max out at 20 + str bonus

Thanks for the reply, I'm mostly just trying to figure out if this game is for me based on what I like to do in other games. However, I should have mentioned this is my first Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game EVER. So phrases like twinked, tank, aggro, and taunting are all lost on me.

When I play single player RPGs, I enjoy making my character very powerful as early on as possible so then I can beat enemies that I'm not technically supposed to be able to yet, hence my question about the damage cap.

Twinked - Low level character with higher level equipment.

Tank - The tough classes that can take most damage from monsters.

Taunt - Act of drawing and holding monster's attention.

Aggro - Aggressive? Means you got on to a monster's sight, it will chase you or you pulled off monster's attention on to you.
