Default 'Referenced Memory Error'

I was hoping someone here could help me with this issue.

I run the EQ emulator and after I hit 'play' a windows application error pops up which reads...

'The instruction at 0x000000000000000 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to terminate program'

This issue seems to have come up out of nowhere as I haven't changed any files in my EQ directory.

Here are a list of things I have already done to try to fix this.

1. Restarted computer.
2. Re-installed the current patch files.
3. Attempted System Restore - could not complete due to a problem with my C:/
4. Ran a diagnostic on C:/ to check for issues (good condition)
5. Removed physical ram and reinserted.
6. Attempted to adjust windowed mode resolution by adjusting window height and width to 800x600 - however I could not find the suggested file eqclient.ini anywhere, I did find eqclientwineq and eqclient which appeared to have the same setting configurations.

I'm not really sure what do to except re-install the game. If anyone has a definitive solution I would appreciate the help!

This is a resolution error.

Right click EQ shortcut on your desktop, click properties, click 640x480 resolution, apply.

Log in, change your resolution to the correct one, and camp out.

Sometimes depending on your install, EQ may be installed in 2 different places. You'll avoid many issues by never installing EQ in Program Files. Eqclient.ini is the configuration file you want to find.

WindowedWidth=1920
WindowedHeight=1080

I got this on Windows 8 and Windows 10 all the time when I had to re-install EQ Titanium (flat folder copy and paste from working machine to another).

Simply re-running the setup exe that takes you through the resolution select and the old/new models select and applying the settings fixes it. Just choose 800 x 600 res and then in game change to it what ever you want.
