Character loads but not the game

Hi all, since the Halloween event I have great difficulty logging on from the char. select screen. I select my char. and press the enter button but get a "EQ not responding message", yet when I try to re-log it reads that I have an active character. This is happening more than half the time now, and sometimes it takes me an hour worth of tries to get lucky. This also happens about a third of the time when I zone.

Sounds like you've got major network use going on when you're trying to play to me. We run into this when we're trying to play and several of our children are streaming video on their tablets. On our whopping 1mb connection that's supposed to be 30mb....
