No one griefed off the server, the odd handful of FoH forum rejects who just wouldn't let the box die were the only ones playing by the time 3.0 rolled around, everyone else put their priorities in order and simply did something else, something more productive than smoking pot all day, and playing board warrior with G.E.D superstars.

Also, when I said "wouldn't let the box die" I meant, they had absolutely nothing going on in their lives, and this a free, mind-numbing, ego stroking activity that occupied their time between dodging arrest warrants and huffing paint with local highschoolers

oh so you mean our server died becuase devs hated players not becuase 40 of the remaining 60 players went to rift?

Server Status

We are shutting down the server due to a couple of reasons:

* Lost of Interest in the project
* Unable to find help with GMing
* Lack of population
* Expenses


We didn't expect this to happen but things don't always turn out the way you expect them to be.

In order to satifisy everyone's needs I am looking for someone who is reliable and trustworthy to continue hosting the box and capable of doing source code.

Me and Keegan would like to pass the torch off to someone that is capable and willing to continue running the project as it was tonight, database and server .exe's and all.

I will bring it back up and open everything up so people can go wild if they want to.

Box is coming back up for a little while with a few GM commands use #help to see what you have available and Velious is open.

i 100 percent blame the majority of the player base for the population problems. follow if you can.... players dont act like they do > GMs dont have to babysit or get angry > GMs get excited to get shit done for their appreciative player base > GM staff grows because they dont quit every 2 months > GM staff gets shit done > Players don't quit > Pop Grows > Velious Released > Sirken wins the box.

GM Sirken is posting that in regards to achieving a larger population. The population was low, but alive a few months before the server went down. When Rift beta started my guild kinda fell apart as several of us started playing rift, creating a waterfall effect where about 30-40 players quit logging in. This drastically lowered the server pop. and it poofed a few weeks later.

What Knuckle ment to say is his entire guild was griefed off the server by a v powerful magician.
