Post Selo's Accelerando+Chords of Dissonance=?

So since I have a Level 4 Bard, and I was wondering that when I get to Level 5, and get enough money to get it, should I make a macro of Selo and Chords of Dissonance so I can kite efficiently? What outcome would that have on zones like East Commonlands (Since I'm in Freeport), and the starting zone by the Freeport Gate?

Was in Crushbone this week. Bard is swarm kiting the orcs around the entrance area. So to answer your question...outcome = people will hate you. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Ah, but what if it's in areas like the Commonlands (Where people mostly don't go when in Freeport)?

Selo's can actually make kiting more difficult. If you want to try out kiting in the newbie areas ( might be a bit low for you now ) you can start at level 2 when you get your damage song, just have to strafe run the whole time. You can do that til about level 5 in the newb yards, after that it's not very time-efficient until level 8 when you can buff up your dot damage with instruments.

Also watch out for mobs with faster run speed - I'm not entirely sure if there are any in EC/WC, but often times wolves and lions will be faster than other mobs, for example.

Also also there are a number of kiting guides for bards on the wiki - just look for the bard section under guides, if you want more details on macros/specific strategies etc.

People will rage on you regardless of where you are, or even if you're kiting or not. When I was levelling my first bard, I'd get hate tells from people as soon as I zoned into Overthere. Didn't even matter if I was actually kiting at the moment.

That being said, this guide is good and the hunting advice is excellent: http://wiki.project1999.com/The_Tech...E_Kiting_Guide

For lowbie kiting there's a relatively flat area to the east of Kaladim. Gather mobs from in front of Kaladim and then kite them over there.

I actually have levelled my Bard to 4, and have Chords of Dissonance, and use it to kite in Freeport Gates.

On my bard I did :

2 - 5 : beetles in newb area

5 - 8 : easier but slower alternative swarmling in north karana

5 - 15 wisp in NK (don't forget to turn in the lightstones at the gypsy camp, also you can get a bind there)

15+ OT (can bind south of the wall near outpost)

15 - 18 easier but slower alternative FoB (can bind in FoB near kaesora)

And yeah auto strafe run, no selo. Don't forget to train string instrument at 8 and brass for level 18.
