Anyway, I still hate them for pulling a whole zone and even yell at you when you get one mob which they would also like to pull. With all respect in my heart, some bards can go fu... themself.

LOIO / OT / DL were some of my favorite places to XP back on classic (and early p99) Sure, the xp wasn't as good as a dungeon, but it was safe, minimal travel, and easy to find a group for 1-2 hours and then stop. When you subtract the xp and time lost from the inevitable deaths in Mistmoore or Unrest (back before half of lvl 20's were running around with fungi and epics and content was more dangerous), outdoor zones usually came out fairly even in comparison. After bards learned to swarm on P99 on a massive scale, that experience was severely diminished. One day I couldn't even do orc highway because some bard was swarming them. Orc highway was one of my favorite places from classic.

Well, if a bard has more than four mobs in his train it is legal to pick off of him.

The problem is when bards move to more dubious areas like Dreadlands. Latency in the zone is screwy, making them prone to dying. Latency in the zone is also screwy in that the big pulls do cause palpable lag that interferes with the players operating there. The biggest problem, however, is that they will inevitably die ... and when they do every last chicken and dog they failed to kill will path back to their spawn point, meaning a dozen (or 2 or 3 dozen or more) will path right through the walls of KC castle where groups like to set up shop. Nothing like sitting by castle wall only to have 3 drolvs and 2 birds ghost through the wall and eat your bacon. This is assuming a best case scenario where the bard was super careful not to pull his mobs in a way that they run by/over the groups xping there (which happens frequently), meaning that if and when the bard dies the mobs will make a B-line to said person or group via proxy aggro during the pull. **Zone disruption is illegal, and there's a case to be made in a lot of swarming instances that the zone is being disrupted. **Mob monopolization is illegal. Generally in the areas bards do this there are plenty of mobs left over, but that isn't always the case. **Training is illegal. If your pull (intentionally or otherwise) causes collateral damage, the puller is responsible. Too often, the assholes breaking the above rules (some are subjective, others such as training are clear-cut and VERY objective) are not held accountable or punished. My main is a bard. I understand the bard hate ... because there's a lot of careless bards out there who just don't give a shit.
