Default New toon pvp advice

So I'm considering trying red. I'm torn between a few classes as I will not have any gear and I'm not sure what the grouping situation will be. So far my choices are between Paladin, Ranger and Rogue. Is the paladin a viable option just for his survivability alone? Will an untwinked ranger or rogue be able to kill anyone besides other untwinked rangers and rogues (if they exist)? If I do pick these classes, what are the odds of getting a group? Should I just scrap the melee idea and play a caster so I can at least get some exp?

Tempest will level your rogue if you main it. You will get shit on as any of those classes for a first toon so come prepared with a thick skin as rogues are heavily gear dependent.

Rogue epic is ez and are in high demand in raiding guilds.

Ranger is a call of the predator bot until they get wind striker which no one farms at all.
Paladin is good but unless you have a pvp crew and play it like a beast ur just gonna end up a Divine strength bot.

All are great pvp toons and groups take literally anyone. Groups just have to do with if there is anyone on at your specific level. I can give you weapons for Ranger/pal that aren't horrible.

Tell everyone you are from blue, roll any class you want preferably one that is PvE focused and get free loot / help from 75% of the server.

Paladin might be cool for a first PvP character because they're tough and can heal/Lay Hands, so you'll have time to take some action before dying and gain some PvP exp.

Rogues get more kills than paladins, and it is very satisfying and empowering to be able to do that. Also, rogue is a more needed raiding character (can't have too many) so that alone will get people to support you.

Lastly, I recommend having a druid or wizard alt, or enchanter or necro if you prefer. These classes have ports/gate, can farm, are less gear-dependent, and can solo. If there are no groups available for one character, switch to the other. Fun and progress is available either way!

you giving him a starter kit? Without a weapon this doesn't strike me as all that lucrative for a first time player.

Rest was on point.

I wouldn't waste time with a farmer or a porter alt. Just go straight for 55ish and ride the backs of tempest. Get raid gear. Farm plat for what ? Raid gear is no drop, most atleast. I wrote up a novel of advice. But realized how bitter and unappealing it sounded to a new player.

Just enjoy yourself and expect to die atleast 20 times to pvp, before hitting 60. And make sure to log out because people like to run trains on players bind spots and delevel them. Magicite got deleveled from 59 or 60 to 56. So did Gyno (oathbreaker wink)

Good luck finding pvp, I have 3 parked chars in areas where lowbies level and average a kill a week.

My advice any pvp you get accept it.

Healers are often needed while leveling, and being able to get around is important during quiet times...combine those 2 with a class that's not too difficult for a pvp first timer?

Druid!

Don't fuck around. Take the same road Gream did back in classic. Announce your blueness to Tempest, have them PL your rogue to 50+ in a week and then they will shower you in pixels. Skip all the bullshit including farming gear and leveling in groups legit.

Unfortunately one of the drugged up losers that plays 16 hours a day just quit that probably would have done it for you. Maybe you can find another.
