Maybe a poison based slow or cold based. Shamans cannot.

i suspect trident proc would land, but regular slow doesn't, hes immune to magic based spells

Rogue slows are also roots. Can't see that working out. Could probably haste him though!

what Eisley said, Trident off koi is however a CR based slow(works on dracoliche)
