Feels goog having a clean whistle on the two best eq pvp boxes.

Feels even better being the most powerful paladin in all of Norrath.

No idea who is who or who is paying(ed) devs for virtual pixels in a wipe box.

Just login, group with your pals, seek and destroy nerds, and have a goog time.

No one gives a fuck if you're top nerd among 150 nerds on a 20 year old game at the age of 30.

im disgusted by these latest revelations. image and devnoob should be castrated for their 5th corruption of a pvp box.

I don't know all of the history of who is friends with who on this box.

Are "Dentists" the guild that is friends with the devs? I have to admit, I have seen some of those characters with an amazing amount of pvp gear but never saw them in pvp battles as I was leveling up and pvping.

Your prolly dont see us pvp because most of us dont get on until 10pm eastern (we have jobs). Or its the weekend. That and we dont really care about a guild tag, and half our toons are unguilded. No one is greasing devnoob/images palms with shit, all of our toons can be seen on the leaderboard with their correct killshots/pvp points.
Think some people are just sour that not only are they getting spanked in pvp daily, they are cheating and exploiting to get items and still losing... Which in itself is pretty lolz.

Image summed it up what happened with the script here.
Item names were not checking properly on Barnaby, since everyone's ear is a unique item (has its own ID) we have to check the item name instead. The string check was not working correctly and looking for the characters (any of) in any order instead of specifically "'s ear".

That's not some random exploit...

In order for that to happen Image and/or Devnoob would of had to physically write a perl script for that specific NPC to enable to give things out when handed certain items.
yup, i don't see how this is going over so many peoples' heads

they literally created a quest script to give pvp tickets in exchange for bone chips and then didn't make it public knowledge

if i actually played there for more than 2 hours a week and had known about this, i would also have abused the shit out of it; it can't be an exploit if that's what it was intended to do

If i had taken it seriously i wouldn't of exploited over 3000 pvp points in 3 days in my spare time. i knew i was going to get caught, but 3 days i mean yikes(server is shit, knew from past experience). i threw a lot of the plat back into the traders in baz. gave 5k amounts out to random people. Lotta drop transferring of pvp items, lots of bd bracers, see invis bracers.

In the end i was looking for a way into the coveted clan known as "THE DIAMOND BROS" and knew this exploit would launch me into the threshold.

eq is built on finding out what you can and cant do with its mechanics, i always found that to be one of the most intriguing parts of the game.
Diamond Bros Clan Requirements and Charter (declassified material)

1. You must become a seeker of truth. A diamond bros job is to get to the bottom of any box he is on. Seek the TRUTH.

2. You must keep your ear to the streets at all times. Listening for potential exploiting scumbags in /tells, OOC and TS is the first step to becoming a diamond bro.

3. You must inspect bleeding edge players to assess ill-gotten gains. Gathering intel on dirty whistles is part of the TRUTH.

4. You must sniff out blood in the water. Scummy gains come from the blood of innocents and drip off of scummy corrupt gear and equipment in PvP when they take damage. It eventually reaches the water, aka the streets.

5. Once blood is in the water, you must do your best to learn these exploits first-hand yourself as part of seeking out the TRUTH.

What Seperates a Diamond Bro From a Pleb who simply reports an exploit to be fixed? Isn't it best to keep it quiet and just report it?

Good question and I know joe and others have been wondering about this one.

First let me start out by saying BZZZZZZZZZT!!! WRONG. It is not best to assume that an exploit in a backwater east African fuckass server is contained to an isolated incident.

A diamond bro never assumes that an exploit is a mistake. Reporting an exploit to be fixed when there's already blood on the leaves (players having been killed and griefed by scummy equipment for weeks) just makes you a sucker and a loser.

This is for a couple of reasons that cannot be explained to the public at large, no more than the CIA can explain to you why they sell cocaine and guns to American black youth. Tthe only way to STOP the bleeding of innocents is through a holy fire or Purge of all scummy gains after the TRUTH has been found through SHARING.

What does that mean? Is a diamond bro an exploiter too?

A diamond bro is a 1920's paperboy. A diamond bro does not hide his actions like the scummy whistles who have benefited in secret. His duty is to beat the exploit to death and spread the scummy tainted blood on as many peoples faces as possible as part of SHARING the TRUTH.

Through the FIRE BATH, you are absolved of all sins.

How do I SHARE the TRUTH?

Drop transfers. All passerby should be getting a piece of the TRUTH laid quietly on the ground in front of them. Think of it like handing out a newspaper. "EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT".

Why would I give anything to anyone?

A diamond bro's ultimate goal is the FIRE BATH that can only come from SHARING the TRUTH. This is what seperates him from the scummy exploiters. A diamond bro collects screenshots while he abuses the exploit.

Hunched over in a fury like Blanca from streetfighter while throwing blood diamonds over his head behind him to any outstretched hand in sight is the best illustration of a diamond bro in process.

gyno n joe welcome aboard. Wipe this bitch clean.

I had my ears to the street. People who played launch might remember people asking in OOC repeatedly where you can get bonechips. There were some weird answers I picked up on. In addition to bonechips not being found on the usual merchants from last box.

I think its hilarious the "where do I get chips?" OOC spam turned out to be scummy morse code smoke signal by scummy exploiters acting cheeky with each other.
