Hi Guys, Thanks for the messages and replies.
We are all around level 10 at the moment and in EC together so doing "ok" I guess our image of the early game was a bit warped in a way. The wiz played an enchanter on live and wanted to do something else [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] so not going to hit the enchanter route although we agree it would be of more benefit to group dynamic. Same as me really, I played a bard for years, i still get hand cramps. Hence why i went shaman instead, totally different. We managed to get together in EC yesterday thanks to a kind Wizard porting us. I have 4 stacks or so of Gnoll fangs. Was thinking about handing them in at 12 to boost me to 14, does that seem like a good use or should I do it earlier or wait? (im level 11 at the min) The wiz actually ran to FP from Ak'knon at level 1. On the server im Zhomp(Aka Pocquet on live), my friends are Bitterness and Bolthan (old Terris Thule guys if anyone is from there). Just as a side note.. this wasn't a begging post [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] it was just to get some information/advice which you have provided lots of! All 3 of us essentially skipped through the early game on live first time around (well level 1 to 22ish) with ease due to handouts from what then became life long friends. We are very much enjoying the slow paced and the groups again. Thanks Poc

Bandit sash quest will get you guys some great plat. Bandits in West Karana drop them and you turn them in in Qeynos.
I highly recommend it for a group starting out.

its already been said but i will reiterate it. qeynos/erudin/halas toons have a monetary advantage over ALL other starting areas. gnoll fangs for xp, rabid animals (now in the karanas too) for great xp and coin. the bandit sashes net huge coin and if you are really trying to build the early nest egg farm them after they turn green. There are at least 5 bandit camps so there shouldn't be an issue of monopolizing a camp. I have left my teens on many toons with well over 1000plat. The wizard should camp Cubert in qeynos sewers until he gets 2 +3 INT earrings. Cuburt and his PH are on a 30 second spawn. http://wiki.project1999.com/Find_Lucie_Elron

If you're in or near the Karanas may as well stop in and farm a couple Beartooth Necklaces and Skull of Jhen'Tra for the casters. Both can be farmed in the high teens, low twenties. When you're in your 20's, mammoth tusks from Everfrost (and elephants in the Karanas but not as often) sell to vendors for around 10p each. They weigh a good bit, but there are vendors near.

On Jimjam my no trade warrior I farmed Willowisps til they didn't give me XP. Handing in the Greater Lightstones gave me enough pp for a set of shop bought plate. So not sure about how much pp that was, but it is a lot (fortunately it revendors for pretty close to the inititial sale price). Not suggesting to buy the shop bought plate, but willowisps in NK or erud isle can be good xp up to mid/late teens, with a nice cash boost.
Don't worry too much about armour. Rawhide, ringmail and bronze will carry you through till you can quest crafted or loot better. If you do feel you are slacking a mere 100pp will buy a full set of banded which is close to bronze AC (better than ringmail) but much lighter.
