Please forgive IRYD, he is at trigger level red right now due to stress associated with the different state caucuses and imminent election/inauguration of Donald "The Truth" Trump.

He has been super rustled recently, and I don't expect this to change anytime soon.

keeping blue keeps all the scrubs away from red

it does suck though before velious and fungitwinks you could find a lot more groups on red doing cool things with 50 primetime pop than it is now with 250 primetime.

Much of it is simply a love for the game. You see the majority of players on live played on PVE servers. Maybe because it was what the majority of live servers consisted of but the end results are the same; people wanting to remember and relive those nostalgic experiences.

Most folks appear to enjoy raiding to become better for the same reasons the guys on RED like to raid and become better. There is a basic desire in most gamers to achieve the best gear possible. Whether I am playing a single player RPG or Everquest, I am constantly searching for "the upgrade" if it is out there to be had, and usually take pride in eventually obtaining it. In BLUE's case that desire causes many man hours of camping that RED players love to poke fun at but you see if we were on a server with 70 players we could stroll right in just the same.

Now in the MMO scene this behavior is exacerbated by competition with other players and some folks like to just have bragging rights. ( I am not one of those ).

You cannot deny though that the numbers on RED in comparison to BLUE clearly state where the majority would rather play. Whether RED is a wonderful playground or not, many of us just have zero interest in attempting to pvp on a game that was not designed for such activity but rather added as a second thought just in case someone wanted to play there instead.

Im not sure why anyone would play on a PvE EQ server. I guess for the love of Everquest. We all know how easy the PVE content is, 99% can be done in Kunark gear only, but people raid velious with 16hour windows like a full-time job for items that will do what? Give you some more hp? Most of the stats have no impact on the game, resists don't matter. Not sure why you raid for loot on blue "SHRUGS"
Pretty hilarious that you say this while also admitting that you logged over 300 hours on this PvE EQ server.

Guys like him only have virtual friends. I always loved the why would you raid for loot while raiding for loot argument. Usually only works on and used by retards. They only raid for loot so they can be stronger at pvp. Okay [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].
