it was legitimately, utterly humiliating to have the officers, who were probably my closest pals in the guild, and people I invested a good deal of my time with on a daily basis, blackball me like that. I was an officer, and they let a nothing trashcan walk all over me after taking my power away.

I haven't played in months, and when I did I was a no body. So I don't know you or many other "popular" people, or at least not their forum names. However if that's true dude, it's pretty fucked up for people to be making a joke about you literally dying within a few years, regardless of what you did to piss them off in the past.
