Default Bard kiting in Velious

So now that Velious has been out for a few months and you (my fellow bards) have had time to test and explore the new zones; Where are the best areas to AOE Kite and for what levels?

Wakening Lands has a lot to offer if you can get it pulled, especially 51+ where you can effectively snare kite. I did a lot of tar goos and geonids at 59 and it was better than BW. Just gotta watch out for geonid shaman.

Aoe kiting blows.

I did quite a lot of charm chanting in Velious though -- levels 57-60 literally flew by. I'm pretty sure the xp rate solo was 2-3x the fastest xp group I've been in to date. 59 took about 6 laid back sessions.

Cash was good as well; to the tune of ~60-70k or more in those 3 levels

Troxx - what zones did you focus your leveling?

I am wanting to explore and gear up in Velious, currently 53. I can charm chant or snare chant kite or whatever works. Don't mind AoE swarming too, just want something different than BW.

What zones/areas in Velious did you guys hunt?

Thanks

Explore and you'll find my spot - it's not hard. If too many people post about it it'll be camped 24/7. When I found it I was one of the only ones. These days competition is more common but still not bad. Sow pots or jboots are recommended to make your life easier but not required. There are some mobs that can be accidentally aggro'd which force me to zone even at 60. One of them can one-shot you with 1900hp on a bad round.

At 57 nearly all were dark blue. At 60 half of them are dark blue. The camp can be done as early as level 50 I'd wager but charm breaks will be more common. Strategy involves 3 chants rolling on your "not pet" then charming your not pet on break and sucking it on your old pet. When both are low just dot them down.

Mobs double each other for 140-158 on top of your dots for 140-180 a tick - you end up with a 2 min kill every 3-4 minutes and enough down time between spawns to get most or all of your mana back. At 58 I could get around 10% an hour or more.

For the non-50+ bards interested in velious, I've acutely been kiting from 32-44 (my current level). Lots of earrings, cougar claw and orc fang, and I've actually manage to get all my quest items for two coldain rings up to#3. Keep in mind rhinos have to be charmed. I tried to swarm them, it didn't seem like I could get AOE on them without getting hit. They're really fast too.
