Not connecting...

Hey all,

I just recently installed EQ and followed all the getting started notes. I've changed my shorcut with the entirety looking like "E:\EQEmu\EverQuest.exe patchme". I'm installed on my external hard drive and running a Windows 7 PC. After maybe 2 min, the executable times out and states "Could not establish a connection. Please check your network connection or contact eqtech@soe.son.com". Any help would be appreciated.
