Red 99 is one of the few remaining open world PvP enabled MMORPG's. The world, the community, it's factions, are all shaped by the players. They control the outcome of the day to day workings on the box, and, inevitably the future of the server as a whole. It's up to the players to make decisions - good or bad - on how they want to handle a given situation. That's the beauty of an open world PvP environment and the culture that forms around it. The freedom to choose your fate and the fate of those around you is a powerful draw to the server, and something I don't want to take away.

In the end, for better or for worse, the players will control the direction this box goes in. We're only here to provide and enforce a loose set of guidelines to help the server thrive.

Beyond that, it's up to all of you to make the server great, or watch it burn to the ground around you.

As a side note, I do appreciate everyone who's said thanks, or let me know they enjoyed the event, or made a post in defense of the event. You guys put a smile on my face today, and are the reason we do what we do.

TMO is the most recent guild to find this out. We had about a dozen of them come over from Blue and join up with us, raid, get loot, have some fun, etc. A good majority of them left our guild when TMO started up, and everything was pretty cordial. We were talking amongst ourselves about feeding TMO some dragons/ discounted epics from our guild bank that we didn't particularly want.

Then: Good Guys falls apart.

Naturally, many of the players we deemed scummy are now looking for a place to go and lots attempt to get into Empire. They're denied. Lots apply to TMO. These are the same players that we literally just worked to eradicate by annihilating Good Guys. In an effort to warn TMO, we advise them, quite strongly, not to accept these people into their guild, because accepting those people translates badly to our members as harboring the server's scum, and it not only would leave a bad taste in our mouth, but would incite a lot of grief. Those people we advised against were considered poison to guilds/ the server. TMO accepts them anyway, against our wishes.

Consequently: TMO is smashed into the dirt all day everyday for months leading up to Velious.

On day 1 of Velious, the exact group of people we advised TMO leadership not to take in as guildies all go anonymous and raid Kunark dragons while their fellow guild members/ leadership are left with 30 people in rags trying to get Derakor down. They wipe over and over.

TMO's leadership finally gets it, and they send our leadership tells, "just so you know, we kicked out all the ex- Good Guys people you hate" as if that would give them an insta-pardon.

Translation: Even though Empire has some of the worst toxics ever to grace the box on its roster, if you dont agree with excommunicating players less toxic than yours off the box forever, which in itself is representative of how toxic empire is, we will crush you with numbers and gear gap.

Just started playing on red about a month ago. I like it a lot more than blue. I am actually able to find groups unlike blue, even on a hybrid.

One death to PvP so far, naked rez effects pk ftl, and have had several very fun pvp encounters. One was just my group in MM and another group in MM shit talking each other for a minute in /shout and then it was a 6v6 brawl. Quite fun.

Red is fun. Cept the other day I was in SolB. Minding my own business like always. Cause I never like ever pk anyone.. A cat dude named Swish came up to me and was like hey you single? I said no. He said muhah and started touching me inappropriately. I tried to zone but he was already on the other side ready to fondle me again.. So I threw my self in to the lava..
