300+ basement dwellers all trying to FTE an 8 hour spawn is absolutely what this great game is all about. I can only hope this continues.

This Vindi was at like 8pm. Pretty sure the basement dwellers were sleeping until 2am.

Rotate them.
  • No one is allowed to ally unless they enter the alliance as a single entity and occupy 1 slot, to prevent guilds from joining and occupying more than 1 slot.
  • You have 1 hour to kill your mob, its a known time spawn and a relatively easy kill with preparation. No guild should need more than an hour, 30min should be sufficient but lets be casual

The problem I am seeing with a rotation is of the 7-8 entities, probably only 3-4 of them can muster the force to kill Derakor 24hours a day. Meaning when say... Divinity comes up on their rotation and their respawn is at 3AM on a Monday, they may not be able to muster the force and kill.

There are a few ways to resolve this:
  1. Those guilds could lose their kill and it goes FFA after an hour. (Favors zerg/neckbeards)
  2. Those guilds could opt to swap positions with another willing guild, say a euro-american swap (could be a nightmare to track)
  3. Those guilds could skip their turn if it spawns during blackout hours (Favors small guilds)
  4. The rotation could be 2 Rotated spawns and 1 FFA spawn a day. The spawn falling between say... 12AM-8AM EST is FFA, the other 2 are Rotated. (Favors Americans)

Maybe other ideas? Anywho I hope it gets pushed to a rotation so guilds get a Vindi every 3 days or so.

that other stuff seems like a complete PITA to keep track of (would be a handful of people having to 'police' the rotation)

get a bad spawn time? that sucks, but still better than 350+ breaking kael for an hour IMO

It's 3 days into Velious. Seems a little early for welfare rotations.

This is the classic experience we all wanted. If you aren't man enough to quit your job and ignore your family to poopsock pixels you don't deserve drops.

i disagree with the OP, seems healthy to me.

ive already had some pennies drop off the ubber table, while the big boys were doing faction work.

Diplomacy and politeness and being in the right place at the right time....does work!

eg ubbers are leaving giants about with scalemail armour on them etc and dead dorfs with similar stuffs.

its good to scavenge!

Try red today, they can guarantee you will never see 400 players.

Daldaen, i like the solution. I was thinking something very similar. I thought that guilds could rotate days at first wherein each guild gets to choose 1 spawn on their day. The other 2 spawns are contested. The whole 30 min timer etc etc applies.

I propose that all guilds on blue who want to kill vindi roll lvl 1 human warriors and fight to the death in arena. The last man standing will determine who gets first crack at vindi.

Think about it, we might be able to get red pop over 380 people for once.

Best solution suggested thus far.
