LD/ Crash to char select 1-2 x /hr

I've been playing on my "vintage" MacBook using Wineskin for the past several months. Setup with the instructions I found here were a breeze and I've never encountered a problem.

I hadn't played in several weeks and decided to sit down for some play time over the past week. Each time I log in for my 1-2 hour play sessions, I will periodically go LD randomly (sometimes off by myself medding (motionless), sometimes while traveling (especially when I'm on a boat of course), sometimes while zoning, etc.).
My system is updated and my internet connection strength and speed is unchanged.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Recent patches might have changed things for you. I have no idea of a solution.
