Default Gnome war and surname questions

I know their stats suck but they are too bad ass not to role. I know this is about fun and i am a casual player but my only concern is can they get by as a decent tank for a casual player? My DE War on lives stats blew too but he got by alright :P

Alsooooo, What is the minimum amount of characters aloud in a surname?

Ogres are getting stunned from the front (bash/kick), so gnome war is a-ok! Not really missing out.

I played a gnome tank up to PoP (end of Plane of Time).

We had no ogre/troll raid tank in our guild ... and we did it well.

If you aren't end-game raiding and competing head-to-head with other tanks, the race you choose doesn't really matter a whole lot. Play what you want to play and anyone saying otherwise can stuff it.

(Also, I think the name-character minimum is three, but I'm not sure)

I thought that at end of game that race becomes irrelevant since you will be maxing out most stats with gear.

Ogre's are suppose to be resistant to all frontal melee stuns. But as I said earlier, bash/kick is stunning ogres from the front on P99.

One of the sole reasons the first AoW was taken out during the eve before luclin was due to an Ogre warrior. Getting stunned allows time for other people to trump you on the aggro list, thus ruining control over the NPC.

Not to discourage an original thought, but why gnome? You can have a tiny tank in the form of a halfling and get marginally better stats and a +5% exp boost to boot! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
