Froglok Raiders And Why They're Awful

I've killed hundred of these. Been running around The Swamp of No Hope dodging monsters with horrible pathing issues roaming to newbie areas (Don't think Soblohg should be within viewing distance of Cabilis) only to be chased down and murdered by Weeping Mantrap after page after page comes up as "You can't loot this LORE item! You already have one!"

Why? Would it really matter? It' a page of some ancient tome of evil. Can't I just make up a page? And how would I even know if they're incorrect? I can't read the pages. And the bastard who sent me to get this is like some level 50 necromancer. Why am I having to run alongside Grimewurm and venemous lamprey when this guy could just walk to the Swamp and murder everything within?

So I've killed hundreds of froglok raiders. And the last LORE page I need hasn't dropped. It's been weeks and this has gotten out of hand. I'm not expecting any fix or sympathy, I just needed to bitch about this and maybe find someone who knows this pain.

I don't know if it's a quest bug, or if I just have statistically horrible luck. Or if it karmic retribution for rolling an Iksar SK. Either way, I'm not going back to the Swamp until lvl 30. I can't continue because this quest will just drive me away from the game entirely. The only reason I'm doing it at all is to get to Lord of Pain and eventually Greenmist.

Technically a bunch of sarnak, dragons, giants, goblins, frogloks, and sentient cacti ruined my lands.

In-game name is Xulia. And the raiders don't show that chainmail graphic...

I know this pain. Done it twice on three different iksar SK's never after level 18 or so.

Pain is the whole point tbh, iksars are sadistic creatures. How could you rightly be called a Lord of Pain or Crusader of Greenmist if you've never had to deal with these kinds of shenanigans? That prick probably ripped up the pages and gave them to the froglok. It's an iksar character-building exercise, to build you into the worst kind of character possible.

Thing is I already got Greenmist once in 2003. And then again in 2012 in EQ2. So this is now the THIRD TIME.

And this pain is enough - can we skip the pain that is camping Dalnir for a month straight?
