Iksar monk/shaman newbie gearing?

Have been playing with a friend of mine, and we're level 12 now and basically still naked. Going to stay in Kurn's until hopefully a Berserker Club drops for him. Guess we should work on our class quests to improve his bracer and my mace. What else should we be doing for equipment? We outleveled the curscale armor quest with 2 pieces each lol (thanks red xp bonus!). Buying stuff is also out of the question, at least for me. Could only afford 2 level 9 spells and now I'm saving up for the best 14 spells :P

berserker club is kinda heavy for monk. you may want to sell it for a pair of trance sticks.
