China's Sexiest Panda Obliterates Own Record In Latest Sex Romp
Lu Lu is having a busy month. Last week, the panda and his partner, Zhen Zhen, set a new benchmark for giant panda sex with a session that lasted 7 minutes and 45 seconds. Since panda sex usually lasts about 1 minute and 20 seconds, researchers at the Sichuan Giant Panda Research Center nicknamed Lu Lu, "Enduring Brother." This week, Chinese state media reports that Lu Lu had sex with a different female, Xi Mei, and it lasted for a truly epic 18 minutes and three seconds (about 8 minutes of which can be seen in the video above). This happened about 24 hours after his romp with Zhen Zhen. According to the iPanda channel, which is keeping close tabs on the action, researchers matched Xi Mei with Lu Lu after her first date, Li Bao, failed to successfully mate with her. So what's with all the panda sex in the news? The center is conducting breeding sessions while female pandas are in heat, which is vital to the survival of the species, since pandas are picky about their mates. The center's been releasing photos of the pandas doing it to raise awareness and perhaps -- we can only guess -- enlist the public's support in cheering them on.
