Switching from 2hb to 1h piercing as a shaman

Hi guys,

I'm currently lvl 11 on my shaman. I'm using a Poison Wind Censer. At what lvl should I switch to a spear and shield? I'm thinking slime coated harpoon.

You'll want piercing skill for your epic, but at level 11 that's a long ways off. Honestly I'd recommend just using the best weapon you can get, whatever it's type, because that will help you level fastest.

If that weapons happens to not be a spear, you could rotate a spear (even a rusty one) in for a few fights every level to keep your skill up ... but you could also just not bother, keep your piercing skill where it is, and not worry about it until you get your epic.

A) it won't be that hard to fix the skill once you get your epic, and
B) by the time you get your epic melee won't even be a meaningful part of your damage.

poor ratio, dont bother.

No decent spears till velious......

epic is ok but I prefer having a proc when meleeing, which is probably just cos it looks pretty )

Use Wind Censor until it starts to proc.

i used a granite face grinder from 20 all the way until i got my epic so i had 0 piercing

once i got my epic it bugged me to not be able to whack things

i went to west freeport and slow+crippled guards and whacked them with a goblin parrying spear while playing gta 5

took about 4 hours to get to 200 skill

its almost the best weapon we get in velious. Theres some really high end ones, but the majority wont see those for 2-3years!!

some good stuff drops in chardokv2 that is gettable.

keep using PWC till 50 and you stop meleeing.

Good advise. Just don't KILL the guard if you are a Good race. Have at it on a Ogre if your Faction sucks lol.[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It only ruins your faction in West/East Freeport and Highkeep so it's not a big deal even for a good race.
