Default Any proof that charming pet was classic?

If I have to search the forums from 15 years ago to prove that magician pet canni was an actual thing, were is this post saying that you could charm pets in classic. I played classic and I know that a lot of people tell me this wasn't classic. I would really like to see some proof. I played a magician from kunark all the way up until recently on everquest live and in those 15+ years not one time has my pet been charmed.

I don't recall mages ever having the ability to charm a pet, maybe it was added past Luclin? I do know; however, my pets were charmed quite a bit when camping Sage and Isheva for hours upon hours.
